Marketing Sites

With over a hundred active clients, and many more we've worked with in the past, there's no way we could tell every success story we've been a part of. So, here's a tiny sample of some recent work...

Marketing Sites

  • Samet Corporation

Samet Corporation is a full-service construction and real property development company dedicated to fulfilling the building needs and financial goals of their clients. They operate throughout North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. NovelProjects refreshed their branding and built a website that provides various functionality, including file sharing, employee class registration and management, and custom content management.

  • Pulley, Watson, King & Lischer, PA

Pulley, Watson, King & Lischer, PA is a law firm that has earned a reputation for not only helping thousands of individuals and families over the years with their "We're in this together" attitude towards service, but they also continuously give back to their community. Recently, they raised awareness for bike helmet safety with a Bike Head First event in Durham, NC where they gave away 75 free kid-sized bike helmets and two new bicycles.

NovelProjects was instrumental in designing and building a website that communicated the difference Pulley Watson has made in so many lives. The site features integrated video testimonials, custom content management, dynamic RSS feeds, and search engine optimization techniques that don't detract from the user experience.

  • Richard Gaylord Homes

Since 1980 Richard Gaylord Homes Inc. has been building elegant custom homes with exceptional quality and value in the Triangle. From unparalleled quality and expert craftsmanship to distinctive design and exquisite home detailing, this family-owned company defines "luxury".

For their website, NovelProjects put photography of their homes on center stage and provided smart content management so the image galleries never grow stale. Also, integration with Google Maps helps customers find homes and neighborhoods displayed on the site.

Ecommerce/Enterprise Sites

  • Snaptotes

In today's world of brand mania, what if there was a brand that was really all about you? Your memories. Your family. Your own creativity. That is what SnapTotes set out to create.

In the last three years, SnapTotes has grown rapidly by focusing on one thing – delivering a great experience for their customers. NovelProjects has understood that from the beginning as an integral partner in the growth of their business. From branding to custom e-commerce development and search engine optimization, NovelProjects is proud to have been part of another start-up success story.

  • Kimbra Studios

Kimbra Studios, the industry leader in custom photo jewelry and accessories was established in 1999 as My Life Designs. Founder Kimbra Orr was the original designer of custom photo jewelry and began with the production of photo charm bracelets and cufflinks in the basement of her home. The business grew over time, and in 2007 Kimbra contacted NovelProjects because she knew she needed to go to the 'next level.'

NovelProjects helped her evolve from My Life Designs to Kimbra Studios. Positioned as a high-class boutique, her new brand and website helped her business soar beyond expectations within months of launch. Yet another small business success story.

  • AudioSavings

NovelProjects has launched the new e-commerce site for AudioSavings.com, a major online retailer based in New York. The improved e-commerce site features a great deal of custom application development, including advanced product searching and filtering, integration with eBay, and a "Deal of the Day" automatic product promotion tool. NovelProjects also made significant design enhancements, and the e-commerce site is search engine friendly with dynamic URL rewriting.

  • Ethical Advocate

Ethical Advocate provides confidential and anonymous incident reporting, available 24 hours a day, every day of the year. Reports can be submitted in privacy, security, and anonymity, by phone or their unique web-based process and in multiple languages. Web-based incident reporting has revolutionized the industry, allowing anonymous two-way dialogue between the individual filing the report and the organization's investigators and staff. It also facilitates the submission of evidence, through a built-in file upload process.

Built for the most scandalous scenarios, the Ethical Advocate web application built by NovelProjects is also FISMA certified, making it secure enough for government and military use – and now handles over 1 MILLION users.

  • TowerCo

Embracing a new corporate tagline and philosophy ("Simplicity. Found."), TowerCo needed to not only update their existing website, but also add functionality to support the new messaging.

NovelProjects built a revolutionary new website for them, featuring a semantic search tool developed from the ground up. The new Tower Finder uses custom programming to disambiguate search queries, providing the most relevant search results to users of the site.

It's an industry-leading tool that represents their new philosophy and provides unprecedented value to their customers.

Non-Profit Sites

At NovelProjects, we value integrity and service above making money. As such, when we recognize needs in our community we feel it is our responsibility to help out. Here are a few examples:

  • EITC Carolinas

Each year, eligible North Carolina workers and their families lose more than $135 million dollars by failing to claim the Earned Income Tax Credit. Because most EITC dollars are spent locally, the state easily loses another $200 million in local economic stimulus – money that could boost the state's economy, especially in its most disadvantaged communities.

NovelProjects hopes the new EITC website will help raise awareness of the program and also serve as a tool for volunteers and program staff.

  • State Employees Association of North Carolina

With over 55,000 members, SEANC is the South's leading state employee association. The non-profit organization works on behalf of state employees and retirees through legislative efforts, the Employees Political Action Committee, and a variety of grassroots efforts.

NovelProjects built a website that streamlined member management and improved member services through a variety of tools. The site features a robust content management system with delegated roles and responsibilities, is dynamically linked to their internal member database, and consolidates a plethora of member services (such as an online discounts database for members). The site also features online applications and e-commerce.

  • Chordoma Foundation

The Chordoma Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to curing Chordoma, a rare type of cancer. It was incorporated in February, 2007 by Dr. Simone Sommer, and her son Josh, after he was diagnosed with a Chordoma in 2006, during his freshman year at Duke University. After his diagnosis, Josh worked in an oncology lab at Duke to find his own cure. Realizing that a single researcher could never have the impact of a network of researchers made aware of the need, the Chordoma Foundation was born.

The first website for the foundation gave them a basic presence online, as well as a few tools for disseminating information to medical researchers worldwide. As news of their efforts spread, major media outlets joined the fight and NovelProjects created a new brand and website in a matter of days to support the sudden growth. Our efforts paid off – the new site raised more money in a month after going live than they had collected the entire year prior.

  • Angier B. Duke

The A.B. Duke Scholarship, Duke University's premier merit scholarship program, brings together people whose eclectic and electric minds are in constant motion. It's where insatiable inquiry transforms seekers into thinkers and thinkers into doers – and vice versa. Science and the arts coexist; risk and reason converge in the A.B. Duke Scholar.

NovelProjects teamed up with a large international advertising agency for this project – something we're getting pretty used to, even though we don't promote it much. They did the strategy and the visual thinking, and we built all the cool parts – like the social-networking inspired student profiles, photo galleries, blogs, and more. Basically, it's everything they need to let the best and brightest young minds know that Duke is a better pick than Harvard, Yale, or any of those other "what's basketball?" schools...
